I know you have commented on this request before stating you are focussed on “professionals”… The market for non-professionals and semi-pros is much larger. The Photokit API has gotten much easier to work with. If/when you implement this I’ll be handing you over my $.

Apply rating to selection
If I select several photos and set a rating I expect it to apply to all photos in the selection. It currently only applies the rating to the first item in the selection.

Sort by filename.
Hi, I love Opticull for culling my wildlife photos. I do not use the ai features. I shoot a lot at 30 fps (frames per second) so many my photos have the same time. Optical does not present them in the correct order- even when I use sort by capture time. If I could sort by file name that would allow me to keep them in the correct order. Thanks.

Ipad Version
as current Ipads with m4 are as powerfull as macbooks it would be convenient to be able to cull from an ipad while being on the road

RAW Zoom
for propper assessing sharpness it is necessary to a proper raw zoom - currently its only the embeded image - which is useless for this scope

Don't reorder burst on change
When going through photos in a scene and changing ratings, don’t change the sort order. I needs to be in rating sort order to go into the scene, but changing the order every time the ratings changes is very confusing - So hard to keep track of which ones have been changed when they are all jumping around.

Add option to rename images during export / ship
I would like to have the ability to rename selected images during the export / ship process. For example, it would be helpful to define a naming pattern like ProjectName (nnnn).ext , where nnnn is a sequential number. This would make organizing exported images much easier for my workflow.

Custom keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts for everything are great, but I don’t find the basic ones very intuitive - too much to do with the left hand. Make it so I can change the keyboard shortcuts.

Don't reorder the photos in a scene when changing the rating
I run the magi-cull then in scenes view I flick through the images to confirm there are none that have been rejected that I want to keep. I have it set to rating based sort so I see the keepers first. If I then change a reject to a keeper it will push it up the list and put me back near the beginning of the list of images which is really confusing. Instead I suggest, don’t refresh the sort order of images until you change scene or click back on the same scene. Also, there is only a thin blue line around the image that is currently being viewed - I find it hard to see which one is selected. Make the selected highlight more prominent too.

Panning with dragging
I might have missed this most obvious feature, but I couldn’t find any way to pan the picture by dragging (like in any other image viewer apps). What am I doing wrong? :)

ability to rotate an image
Sometimes, I have a photograph that should be in portrait orientation, but for some reason, the system doesn't recognize it and displays it in landscape orientation instead, and vice versa. When I encounter photos like that, it's difficult for me to tilt my head to the side to see them properly. It's challenging to get a good understanding of the photo when I can't look at it straight on like the others.

Filter mode for bracketed photo series (HDR)?
Thanks for a great culling application. For my landscape photography I rely a lot on bracketed photos (HDR) where the camera takes a series of three or five photos in a burst with one underexposed, one "normal" exposure and one overexposed in order to capture highlights and shadows. I use Affinity Photo later to merge the photos into one HDR photo. However, culling these shoots is a real pain as there are always three (or five) identical photos in the grid, where only one of them are normally exposed and suitable for comparing with the next normally exposed photo in the next bracketed photo series. I would love to be able to filter these type of shoots in order to more quickly compare the normally exposed photos for each bracketed series, so I can choose which series to go forward with. Perhaps it is possible to filter based on image timestamp and exposure compensation together, or to analyze the scene so that OptiCull understands these are bracketed photos of the same scene and only show the normally exposed one? I am not sure, but this would be extremely useful. Thanks again!

Custom Keybindings for Assessment Overrides
The assessment overrides work very well, but the placement on the keyboard doesn't feel intuitive to me. I rarely (if ever) use "Replace as Keeper" for instance, but continually use "Duplicate." For me, the ability to map "Reject" as 'R', "Duplicate" as 'T', "Keeper" as 'Y', and "Highlight" as 'U' would be a huge quality of life improvement (it would feel like a 1-4 rating system, while using Opticull's intended workflow). The difference for me would be night and day, and I find myself going back to the Number/Star systems because they feel faster.

Export only side car files instead of original images.
I'd want to export only the side car files to a particular directory instead of creating a copy of my original RAW images along with it.

Grid sizing
It would be nice to have a slider to affect the size of the images in the grid view. I cannot seem to change that and there is a lot of extra white space on the right size of the grid view...seems wasteful. Thanks.

So, besides faces...
This could be controversial but here goes. Culling software (Aftershoot, OptiCull, etc.) all focus on AI models based on the only belief that culling is about faces...in focus, smiling, eyes open, etc. There are a lot of photographers who shoot other subjects like wildlife, landscapes, etc. Here's the ask...are there other AI models to allow culling of these different genre? Aftershoot offers about six or so but they are all people-focused events (wedding, etc.). Can't find anything but face stuff in Narrative Select. I've not found any other culling software that provides options for "what" to cull around (meaning type of photos in the session). So here's an opportunity to leap-frog the others with the ability to choose the type of culling the user wants to run (which of course uses the appropriate AI engine). Thanks for considering this.

Photos.app integration
I need to be able to create a project from a folder in Photos.app. Or some similar way to better integrate with Photos.app. (See Darkroom app, they did a nice job)

Home Screen image pick
Just started the trial for Pro. On the home screen, the image that OptiCull Pro picks is not always the best. It would be nice to right-click on an image in the Grid view and "Select as Home Image" or something similar. Then, on the Home view, if the image is not centered great, right-clicking on the image on the Home view would afford us the ability to reposition the image in the bounding box of the Home view. Thanks.

When culling, I want to be able to discard images, not just tag them
As far as I can tell, I can ship files to a specific app list or export selected images to a new directory. Culling means removing or eliminating. It should be as simple to delete, or move to a trash bin, each photo as it is to classify it.
